Painting Landscapes

Painting Nature

Hey everybody! A few posts ago, Elizabeth told you about how we painted a lot on Monday. She also said that we would feature my painting today! Let’s get started!

So I sketched out how I wanted the painting to look (like we always do.)

Then, I painted the background. In this painting, I started with a darker green at the bottom of the canvas and lighter at the top, blending as I went.

After that, I moved on to the tree in the foreground.

I painted the sky and started on the bush in front of the tree.

I got so caught up in painting (again) that I forgot to take any more step-by-step pictures :P. Here’s the finished product:

And actually, this is one of the few paintings that Elizabeth and I aren’t keeping. This is going to someone who commissioned us to paint a piece of art :).

That’s all for now! If you have any suggestions about what we should paint next, let us know in the comment section below! Keep on the lookout for new posts!
