How to Clean Paintbrushes

Hey everyone! Apologies in advance for the short post. I’ve been uber-busy this weekend :). I have a couple of brushes that I need to clean and I thought I would show you all a good method to clean brushes! Credit goes to our grandmother who taught Kathleen how to clean brushes well, and Kath taught me, so here we go!

What you need:

  • Dirty Brushes
  • Running water
  • Soap
  • Hands
  • Paper towel or old towel (optional)

Step one: Take your dirty brushes into a place with a sink with running water (a washroom, the kitchen, we use our bathroom.)

Step two: Squirt some soap into your hand.

Step three: Swirl your brush (or two) in your hand until the soap starts turning the same color as your paint.

Step four: Repeat step three until no color remains in your brushes

Step five: Let brushes air dry, or dry with an old towel (paper towel is fine too.)

And that’s it! Now you should have shiny clean brushes for your next masterpiece!

Also, we finally uploaded my wolf speed drawing! You can check it out on our channel!
