Going Places

Pease’s at Bunn Gourmet

Hey everybody! So, in the last post, I said that Kathleen and I went to two super cool places when were in Illinois last week. The first place is called Pease’s at Bunn Gourmet.

Apart from some particularly pleasing panini (while writing this, I found out that panini is the plural form of panino,)  there are some superbly decorated chocolates.

I thought these chocolates with the music notes looked so  neat. Similar to these were some chocolates with bumblebees on them. There were at least thirty different chocolates. I took pictures of about half of them.

Here’s a link to the site to buy the candy (The Pease’s Candy Inc. is a bit different than the Pease’s at Bunn Gourmet.) http://www.peasescandy.com/

I had a lovely time out with Kathleen and our family. To top it all off, we pick out some slices of amazing cake (we didn’t buy any chocolate, so this was our sugar fix.)

I’m a chocolate hound, so I got the “Chocolate Insanity,” and Kath loves cheesecake, so she got the New York Style Cheesecake. It was so hard to decide what to get. There was everything from ice cream to red-velvet cupcakes (I was *this* close to choosing a monstrous red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing.)

That’s all for now! Keep on the lookout for the next post, where Kath and I will take you to the Illinois State Museum to look at some amazing oil paintings!
